About the Alan Castleman Team
Born and raised in West Tennessee, Alan Castleman has spent nearly his entire life within 15 miles of Jackson. His roots here run deep — literally. At age 9, Alan was crowned King of the Strawberry Festival in his hometown of Humboldt, TN. These days he channels that community pride into helping people buy, sell, and settle into the place he's always called home.
After graduating from Smyrna High School in 1988 and attending both MTSU and Jackson State Community College, Alan returned to West Tennessee and built a career defined by relationships, hard work, and a genuine love for this community.
From Audio/Video to Real Estate
Alan spent the first half of his career in the consumer electronics business — starting at New Wave Electronics right here in Jackson, then moving into an independent manufacturers' sales rep role, traveling extensively across Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia selling professional audio/video systems to retailers and custom integrators throughout the Southeast.
Those years on the road were rewarding, but with a young family at home, the travel started to wear. When the recession of 2008 arrived, Alan saw it not as a setback but as a catalyst. He transitioned into real estate in 2009 — working both careers in parallel for three years before going 100% real estate. It turned out to be one of the best decisions he ever made.
A Natural Fit for New Construction
Alan's years working alongside custom integrators on job sites across the Southeast gave him something most agents simply don't have — a working knowledge of the construction process from the ground up. From rough-in through trim-out and finish work, he already spoke the language and understood the timeline before he ever listed his first home.
That expertise translated naturally into real estate. Alan quickly became a leader in new construction sales — working directly with local builders, guiding clients through plan selection, finish selections, market research, and builder processes. Over his career he has been involved in hundreds of new construction transactions and remains one of the most knowledgeable new construction resources in the Jackson market.

Married to Heather for over 30 years, with two daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren — Alan understands what it means when a family finds the right home. It's personal.

Alan has always had a creative side — from art and drawing in school to a career built around presentation and communication. In real estate, that creativity found its home in marketing. From professional photography and high-resolution video tours to social media content and large-scale production pieces, he genuinely loves the craft of showcasing a home.
